Hallucinogenic Skin - Ryder's skin secretes a poison, which can cause minor hallucinogenic effects (any combination of the following: visual and auditory distortions, sweating, salivation, low blood pressure, mood changes, euphoria, relaxation, ataxia, and/or loss of equilibrium) within moments upon contact. These effects vary from person to person, and are quite unpredictable. It mostly depends on the amount of time spent touching the skin. Touching his skin for long periods of time will generally always result in some sort of effect. Over time, Ryder has learned how to control the potency of his poison.
Terra Rune - Ryder’s rune, the symbol for “Terra”, serves as the cornerstone of his being—a powerful emblem that not only sustains his existence but also fuels his magical essence. It floats below him—protected by his ribbon—and embodies the life force that nurtures his growth, acting as the wellspring from which his unique powers flow. Terra is more than just a rune; it is the anchor to his magic, the pulse of his vitality, and the heart of his connection to the mystical energies that define him.
Toadstool Wings - Large mushroom caps protrude from the toadstool's back and act as wings, able to keep him afloat without tiring himself out.
Rainbow Freckles - These freckles are scattered across Ryder's nose, cheeks, down the sides of his neck, shoulders, upper arms, down the center of his back and on his chest and stomach. Ryder can will them to change colors and they aid him greatly in his biggest defense mechanism, his Mind Fog. They also tend to glow dimly (or brightly when more energy is being exerted) whenever Ryder is attempting to use his magic.
Visions of Delirium - Ryder can see all hallucinations along with those having them.
Basic Magic: Active - As a magical being and through his immense research and studies, Ryder has developed a solid understanding of basic illusion and alteration magic. He focuses on these schools of magic, as they enhance his ability to create imaginary illusions, manipulate objects with telekinesis, and cast protective wards.
Daze: Passive - Spending extended time with Ryder, especially those doing monotonous tasks, causes people to drift into daydreams more frequently than usual—an effect that proves quite convenient when Ryder is feeling hungry.
Imaginary Projection: Active - Ryder can project the imaginings—dreams, thoughts, and memories—of others into surfaces like crystals, mirrors, glass, or water. While he can’t control these visions, he can bring fantasies to life as vivid visual experiences for others. With practice, Ryder will eventually be able to display these imaginings effortlessly, with precision, and in high definition.
Imaginary Muse: Active - Ryder can actively create imaginary companions, known as ‘muses,’ who are visually and audibly present, yet lack any physical substance. These muses possess their own minds and personalities, and are able to hold conversations just like real people. Only Ryder can sense them physically; anyone else will find that they pass right through. Likewise, muses can touch and interact only with Ryder and each other, leaving others entirely unaffected.
Imaginary Summoning: Active - Ryder can manifest ‘hologram’ horns, wings, weapons, armor, clothing, and other features upon himself (and others). Though these projections lack physicality, they make for impressive visual displays and are great for photos and videos. As with his muses, only Ryder can physically interact with these creations; to anyone else, they will simply pass through as if they aren’t there.
Mind Fog: Active - The freckles on Ryder’s skin, when activated, release a smoke infused with his essence. When inhaled in sufficient amounts, it induces vivid visual hallucinations, temporarily bringing the affected person’s imaginings—whether fears, joys, or memories—into reality. Only Ryder and those experiencing the hallucinations can perceive them. This smoke is typically released when Ryder feels threatened and needs a means of escape.
Mushroom Manipulation: Active -Ryder can rapidly grow toadstools or halt their growth entirely. He can also reshape and transform ordinary mushrooms as if they were clay, molding them into virtually anything he can imagine—which is a lot.
Rotten Matter: Ryder enjoys feasting on decaying plant matter or old food, as the fungus within him craves it from time to time. His favorite delicacy, by far, is rotting, wet wood. At the Rothmore household, at least, no food ever goes to waste.
